Hallway Closets and Telephone Closet
Living in an Historic Home has many charms, but it does entail a few compromises. For one thing, in an historic home, virtually every room is a hallway. In a more modern structure, most rooms are dead-ends – one way in, one way out. In an Historic Home, most rooms will have two doorways. The room exists as a room, but it also exists as the connecting hallway to two other rooms.
Another compromise that goes along with living in an Historic Home: Smallish closets. This home has more closet space – and storage space generally – than most homes of its vintage. Even so, the closets may be a lot smaller than you're used to.
But they're charming, as is the Phone Closet in the hallway.
